## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT EXPERIENCED LOSS OF BRAKING ABILITIES ON TAXI APPROACH ALPHA TO RUNWAY 28 FOR TAKEOFF. HE NOTIFIED THE CONTROL TOWER, TURNED AND TAXIED TOWARD RAMP AREA IN FRONT OF THE CONTROL TOWER TO IDENTIFY PROBLEM. UPON ARRIVAL AT RAMP AREA HIS PASSENGER NOTED SMOKE EMITTING FROM UNDER RIGHT WING. PILOT OF PA-32-260 REPORTED TO TOWER THAT SMOKE WAS EMITTING FROM THE BRAKES AT ARRIVAL TO MAIN RAMP AREA OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY AIRPORT (AGC). AIRPORT PERSONNEL EXTINGUISHED FLAMES FROM THE RIGHT AND LEFT LANDING GEAR WHEEL AND BRAKE AREAS OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER EVACUATED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
