## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ACCORDING TO THE REPORT FILED BY THE EL DORADO COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, THE PILOT OF N4774L, REPORTED TO SHERIFF DEPUTY SHE WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND FROM THE SOUTH (RUNWAY 31) AT CAMERON PARK AIRPORT. AT THE POINT OF FLARE, A BIG GUST OF WIND PULLED THE AIRCRAFT UP AND SLAMMED IT BACK INTO THE GROUND. THE PILOT DECIDED TO GO AROUND. THE SECOND LANDING ATTEMPT WAS WITHOUT INCIDENT UNTIL THE NOSE WHEEL TOUCHED DOWN AT WHICH TIME THE PILOT REPORTED HEARING SCRAPING NOISES. THE PILOT TOLD THE DEPUTY SHE MAINTAINED CONTROL OF THE AIRCRAFT AND COMPLETED THE LANDING SAFELY. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS LIMITED TO THE NOSE LANDING GEAR AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES TO THE PILOT OR PASSENGER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
