## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, AND HIS SON ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DEPARTED FROM RIVERSIDE AIRPORT (RVS), TULSA OKLAHOMA TOWARDS OKMULGEE, OKLAHOMA. AT APPROXIMATELY 2,200 FEET THE AIRCRAFT STARTED TO STUTTER TOGETHER WITH PROGRESSIVE POWER AND ALTITUDE LOSS. THE PILOT INFORMED TULSA TOWER THAT HE WILL HAVE TO RETURN BACK TO RVS IMMEDIATELY. DUE TO RAPID ALTITUDE AND POWER LOSS, CONSEQUENTLY THE PILOT MADE A DECISION TO LAND THE AIRCRAFT INTO AN OPEN FIELD. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO LAND THE PILOT STRUCK THE AIRCAFT'S LEFT AND RIGHT HAND WING LEADING EDGES WITH SOME FENCE POST, AND CAME TO A FULL STOP AT APPROXIMATELY 300 FEET FROM THE FENCE. THE PILOT REPORTED LOSS OF ENGINE POWER IS FURTHER BEING INVESTIGATED, THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^OPERATOR IS DETERMINED IN ACCOMPLISHING A COMPRENSHENSIVE ENGINE INSPECTION/TEST AND COORDINATE THE FINDINGS WITH THIS FSDO. BASED ON INSPECTION OUTCOME, THIS OFFICE WILL DETERMINE FURTHER ACTIONS REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
