## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PILOT WAS MAKING A VFR VOR PRACTICE APPROACH TO MWH RUNWAY 4. HE EXTENDED THE GEAR FOR LANDING AND OBSERVED THE GREEN LIGHT AND THE GEAR DOWN MECHANICAL INDICATOR FOR THE NOSE GEAR. SHORTLY THERE AFTER A POP WAS HEARD AND HE LOST ALL ELECTRICAL POWER. THE PILOT CONTINUED WITH LIGHT GUN SIGNAL AND LANDED ON THE MAIN GEAR HOLDING THE NOSE OFF AS LONG AS HE COULD. JUST AFTER LOWERING THE NOSE THE LEFT GEAR COLLAPSED AND THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON THE LEFT GEAR DOOR AND WING TIP. DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO THE GEAR DOOR AND LEFT WING TIP LOWER SKIN. THE LEFT ENGINE SUFFERED A PROPELLER STRIKE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
