## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) THE PILOT STATED THAT ON FINAL APPROACH HE NOTICED THAT HIS AIRSPEED WAS APPROXIMATELY 10 KNOTS SLOWER THAN HIS USUAL APPROACH SPEED WITH A SLIGHT WEATHERVANE TENDENCY WHICH HE CORRECTED FOR, HOWEVER UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE ROLLOUT WAS NORMAL UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO VEER TO THE LEFT, THE LEFT WING ROSE UP AND THE RIGHT WING TIP STRUCK THE GR0UND DAMAGING THE WING TIP. UPON TAXI BACK, HE NOTICED THAT THE WINDSOCK WAS FULLY EXTENDED POINTING DIRECTLY ACROSS THE RUNWAY, INDICATING A STRONG CROSSWIND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
