## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON JULY 12, 2009, AT 1553, A SMITH MINIPLANE, N1131, REGISTERED TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, IMPACTED THE RUNWAY AFTER LANDING AS A RESULT OF THE LEFT LANDING GEAR STRUT BREAKING AT THE TEXARKANA AIRPORT (TXK) IN TEXARKANA, ARKANSAS, WHILE ON A PLEASURE FLIGHT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME AND THE FLIGHT WAS BEING CONDUCTED PER VFR FLIGHT RULES. THE AIRCRAFT RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT ATLANTA, TEXAS (ATA).

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
