## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ACCORDING TO THE PILOT IN COMMAND, HE MADE A NORMAL APPROACH TO A THREE POINT LANDING. HE DOES NOT REMEMBER "BOUNCING' ON THE LANDING. DURING THE ROLLOUT, THE PILOT STATES THAT A GUST OF WIND PUSHED HIS LEFT WING UP WHICH CAUSED THE RIGHT WING TO COME IN CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE DID NOT DEPRESS THE BRAKES UNTIL AFTER THE WIND HAD CAUGHT THE WING. THE AIRCRAFT WING, EMPENNAGE, AND GEAR WERE DAMAGED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC09TA068](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC09TA068), Jul 16, 2009: Cessna 180A (N4UA), Anchorage, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control while landing in a crosswind, which resulted in a ground-loop.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
