## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CLIMBOUT FROM A MISSED APPROACH AFTER A PRACTICE ILS TO RUNWAY 5 THE LEFT FUEL TANK RAN DRY AND THE ENGINE CEASED OPERATION. THERE WAS FUEL REMAINING IN THE RIGHT TANK. THE PILOT SWITCHED TANKS BUT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART THE ENGINE IN THE TIME REMAINING . THE PILOT MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON AIRPORT PROPERTY UTILIZING THE GRASS AREA WEST OF RUNWAY 5 AND THE TAXIWAY I FRONT OF THE TOWER. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
