## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) PIC, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, WAS PERFORMING "TOUCH AND GO" LANDINGS AND TAKEOFFS ON RUNWAY 26R AT BROWN FIELD, SAN DIEGO, CA. UPON LANDING WITH LANDING GEAR DOWN, DAVENPORT BEGAN THE TRANSITION FOR TAKEOFF. HE PUSHED THE THROTTLE TO FULL POWER, THEN, INTENDING TO RETRACT THE FLAPS, INADVERTENTLY MOVED THE LANDING GEAR SELECTOR TO THE "UP" POSITION. HE QUICKLY REALIZED HIS ERROR, BUT NOT SOON ENOUGH TO PREVENT THE GEAR FROM RETRACTING. WITH INSUFFICIENT LIFT, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED TO THE RUNWAY, PRECEDED BY REPETITIVE PROPELLER STRIKES AND SLID TO A STOP ON THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
