## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) WHILE BEING MARSHALLED INTO GATE E-17 IN SLC, THE FIRST OFFICER INSTRUCTED THE CAPTAIN TO STOP THE AIRCRAFT WHEN IT APPEARED THA THE RIGHT WING WOULD NOT CLEAR A PARKED TUG. THE CAPTAIN STOPPED THE AIRCRAFT, AND THE CREW POINTED TO THE TUG. THE MARSHALLER INDICATED THAT THE AIRCRAFT WAS OK AND THE CREW CONTINUED INTO THE GATE. THE RIGHT WING LEADING EDGE, APPROXIMATEY FOUR FEET INBOARD FROM THE WING TIP, WAS DAMAGED WHEN IT HIT THE TUG.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
