## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER A 30 MINUTE FLIGHT THE PILOT LANDED ON RUNWAY 21 AT THE HEBER AIRPORT. HE TURNED OFF THE RUNWAY AT INTERSECTION A2. HIS SPEED WAS HIGH AND HE COULD NOT STOP BEFORE MAKING CONTRACT WITH A HANGAR THAT WAS DIRECTLY OPPOSITE THE A2 INTERSECTION. HE WAS UNABLE TO TURN TO THE LEFT OR RIGHT BECAUSE AIRCRAFT AND PEOPLE WERE IN THE WAY. THE NOSE AND LEFT WING TIP HIT THE HANGER DOORS. STRUCTURAL DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED TO THE LEFT WING AT THE AILERON. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT HE RECEIVED A CHECK RIDE IN A SAILPLANE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09CA376](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09CA376), Jul 29, 2009: Schweizer SGS 2-32 (N682U), Heber City, UT, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive speed as he turned off the runway.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
