INVESTIGATION REVEALED THE LEFT MAIN GEARS A-FRAME THAT HOLDS THE GEAR IN A DOWN AND LOCKED POSITION WAS BROKEN. THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED ON THE RAMP IN VIEW OF THE AIRPORT TOWER HOWEVER THE FSDO WAS NOT NOTIFIED UNTIL 8/3/2009.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

- [NTSB WPR09LA383](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09LA383), Jul 30, 2009: Beech 76 (N83ER), Glendale, AZ, substantial damage. Probable cause: The fatigue failure of the left main landing gear enhanced side brace assembly.

## Other reports on N83ER (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20061009019879I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20061009019879I), Oct 9, 2006: Beech 76 (N83ER), Wagoner, OK, Minor damage. (-23) Pilot said he entered the traffic pattern on downwind, turned base, then final. A normal landing was made and while on rollout he noticed a deer coming…

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
