## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL DURING LANDING ROLLOUT. AFTER RUNNING OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY THE GYROPLANE COLLIDED WITH A PARKED GYROPLANE.REGARDING #12, NTSB IS CALLING THE PARKED AIRCRAFT ON SIDE OF RUNWAY AN OBJECT INSTEAD OF AN AIRCRAFT SINCE IT WAS NOT MOVING OR OCCUPIED. THIS IS THE REASON THAT #12 (COLLISION BETWEEN AIRCRAFT) WAS MARKED NO.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN09CA504](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN09CA504), Aug 5, 2009: Vanderhoof Steve AIR Comman (N8099P), Mentone, IN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain aircraft control during the landing and subsequent impact with a parked aircraft.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
