## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRMAN WAS LANDING ON RUNWAY 32 AT WST. AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE RUNWAY VERY HARD IN A NOSE LOW ATTITUDE WITH THE NOSEWHEEL IMPACTING FIRST. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE FORK ON THE NOSEWHEEL ASSEMBLY TO BREAK RESULTING IN NOSEWHEEL SEPARATION. THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED FOR APPROXIMATELY 913 FEET BEFORE COMING TO REST JUST OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. AS A RESULT OF THE NOSEWHEEL SEPARATION, THE PROPELLER MADE CONTACT WITH THE RUNWAY AND CONTINUED TO ROTATE AND CONTACT THE RUNWAY UNTIL THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
