(-23) ON AUGUST 20, 2009 AT 2046 PDT, A PA22 N6038D LANDED IN A RIGHT CROSSWING AT TIW, WA. THE FORWARD LANDING GEAR ATTACH POINT BROKE AWAY WHICH LEAD TO THE RIGHT GEAR TEARING AWAY FROM THE FUSELAGE. THIS WAS FOLLOWED BY A PROP STRIKE AND THE RIGHT WING TOUCHING THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
