## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON AUGUST 25 AT ABOUT 5:15 PM, THE PILOT PRE-FLIGHTED THE AIRCRAFT. HE STATED, HE HAD SOME PROBLEMS GETTING THE MASTER SWITCH IN THE CORRECT POSITION. THE PILOT STATED, HE STARTED AIRCRAFT, A BUZZER NOISE SOUNDED IN THE COCKPIT, AND WENT AWAY. HE TAXIED TO THE END OF THE RUNWAY, DID AN ENGINE RUN-UP, LINED UP WITH THE CENTER LINE OF THE RUNWAY. WHEN HE GAVE THE AIRPLANE FULL POWER IT VEERED TO THE LEFT OF THE CENTER LINE, HE APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER. AT THIS TIME, THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED, AND AIRCRAFT SKIDDED FORWARD. THE PILOT STATED, HIS KNEE MUST HAVE HIT THE LANDING GEAR SELECTOR. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SHUT DOWN AND MOVED FROM THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
