## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON AUGUST 27, 2009, AT 2002 LOCAL TIME, AN AIR-CAM, N950TC, REGISTERED TO AND PILOTED BY ROBERT DALE MEYER, CRASHED ON LANDING AT THE RAVALLI COUNTY AIRPORT, HAMILTON, MONTANA (6S5) ON THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE ACTIVE TAXIWAY. THE AIRCRAFT HAD LOST THE RT MAING LANDING GEAR WHEEL EARLIER THAT FLIGHT, WHICH ONLY LEFT THE RT LANDING GEAR SHAFT TO CONTACT THE GROUND UPON LANDING. WHEN THE RT L/G SHAFT DUG INTO THE DIRT AT THE EAST EDGE OF THE TAXIWAY, IT SPUN THE AIRCRAFT TO A STOP, DAMAGING THE FRONT BOTTOM AREA OF FUSELAGE, RT SIDE OF FUSELAGE NEAR THE PILOTS SEAT, REAR OF FUSELAGE BEHIND THE WING STRUT MOUNTS AND TAIL WHEEL MOUNT. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME, AND NO FLIGHT PLAN WAS FILED. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIALLY DAMAGED, AND THE PRIVATE PILOT, THE SOLE OCCUPANT, WAS UNINJURED. THE FLIGHT ORIGINATED AT THE RAVALLI COUNTY AIRPORT, HAMILTON MT. (6S5) AT AROUND 1830 MDT. NTSB: WAYNE POLLACK 310-380-5654.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
