## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) AFTER LANDING ON RUNWAY 26, DURING POST LANDING ROLL OUT, WITH ALL THREE WHEELS ON THE GROUND. THE AIRPLANE A CESSNA 195 STARTED TO DRIFT TO THE LEFT. THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ CORRECTED BY PUSHING RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL AND IN DOING SO HE INADVERTENTLY PUSHED THE TOP OF THE RIGHT RUDDER PEDAL WHICH ENGAGED THE RIGHT BRAKE. THIS CAUSED THE AIRPLANE TO TURN SHARPLY 90 DEGREES TO THE RIGHT, WHICH PLACED AN EXCESSIVE LOAD ON THE LEFT MAIN LANDING GEAR CAUSING IT TO BUCKLE AND TEAR AWAY FROM THE LEFT SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE. THE LEFT WING IMPACTED THE GROUND AND BUCKLED AT THE FLAP HINGE OUTBOARD BULKHEAD. THE PROP THEN STRUCK THE GROUND CAUSING ENGINE, SUDDEN STOPPAGE. THE AIRPLANE CAME TO REST ON RUNWAY 26.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09CA434](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09CA434), Sep 5, 2009: Cessna 195 (N1508D), Camarillo, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
