## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT'S TELEPHONE STATEMENT INDICATED HE LANDED AT GASTON'S RESOR, AR. THE LANDING STRIP IS GRASS AND WAS CONSIDERABLY WET FROM PREVIOUS RAIN. UPON TOUCHDOWN HE FELT THE AIRCRAFT HYDROPLANNING AND LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AS AIRFOIL CONTROL DIMINISHED. THERE WAS LITTLE TO NONE BRAKING ACTION. HE STATED HE COULD NOT STOP IN TIME TO AVOID STRICKING A PICKUP TRUCK ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE STRIP. DAMAGE WAS DOME TO THE TRUCK, AND THE RIGHT WINGTIP INBOARD OF THE 1ST RIB. NO OTHER DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS VISIBLE. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE SENT IN A REPORT TO NASA ASRS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
