## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) JAMES MASTANDREA, OWNER/OPERATOR OF THE AIRCRAFT, IS A PRIVATE PILOT. HE WAS NOT PIC CURRENT AND HAD ASKED HIS INSTRUCTOR, MR. OLSEN, TO ACCOMPANY HIM SO AS TO REGAIN HIS CURRENCY. BOTH PILOTS REMEMBER SEEING "GREEN" LANDING LIGHTS PRIOR TO LANDING BUT DID NOT CHECK ON FINAL. JAMES WAS THE PILOT FLYING AND PROBABLY RETRACTED THE GEAR BY MISTAKE AND MR. OLSEN DID NOT REALIZE THAT HE DID THAT. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED GEAR UP WITH MINOR DAMAGE. I HAVE COUNSELED MR. OLSEN AND HAVE DETERMINED THAT NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
