## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING TAKEOFF ROLL ON RWY 24, THE AIRCRAFT NOSED OVER, CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE PROP, UPPER FUSELAGE, LEFT WHEEL, TAIL AND VERTICAL STABILIZER. THE PILOT STATED WHEN HE ADVANCED THE THROTTLE, THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT, WHICH HE ATTEMPTED TO CORRECT WITH A LEFT RUDDER. AS THE TAIL RAISED, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT, WHICH THE PILOT TRIED TO RE CORRECT WITH A RIGHT RUDDER. THE PILOT LOST CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED NOSE OVER AND CAME TO REST ON IT'S BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR09CA465](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR09CA465), Sep 25, 2009: Cessna 195A (N195MD), Upland, CA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control of the airplane during the takeoff roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
