## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

IT APPEARS THAT THE PILOT WAS TAXIING TOO CLOSE TO THE CORNER OF THE HANGAR AT THE SAME TIME TRYING TO COMMUNICATE TO GROUND CONTROL OF HIS INTENT WHEN SUDDENLY THE LEFT WING TIP OF HIS AIRCRAFT CLIPPED THE HANGAR AND TOOK OUT THE DOWNSPOUT CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE FIBERGLASS ATTACHED TO THE WING TIP ALONG WITH THE TIP LIGHT. SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION OF THE WING TIP BY NORTHWEST AVIATION MECHANIC REVEALED NO INTERNAL DAMAGE TO THE WING SUPPORT STRUCTURE. AIRCRAFT WAS REPAIRED ON-SITE, WAS SIGNED-OFF, AND WAS FLOWN BACK TO AUBURN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
