## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WEATHER WAS OVERCAST WITH DRIZZLE, FLAT LIGHT CONDITIONS. PILOT SAID HE HAD A NOSE DOWN ATTITUDE AND HIT THE RUNWAY HARD. THE HARD LANDING MADE THE AIRCRAFT FLY BACK INTO THE AIR, UPON RETURNING TO THE GROUND THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK THE PROPELLER AND NOSE CONE AND WENT OVER ON ITS BACK.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC09CA108](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC09CA108), Sep 25, 2009: Bellanca 7GCBC (N5037C), Fairbanks, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain control of the airplane during the landing roll at an off-airport site.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
