## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT STATED THAT HE WAS LANDING N754BD ON RUNWAY 29 AT PUNTILLA LAKE, ON SATURDAY MORNING AT AROUND 11:00 AM. DURING THE LANDING ROLL, ABOUT 1500 FEET FROM THE THRESHOLD, THE PILOT WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN THE RUNWAY CENTER LINE AND DAMAGED NOSE GEAR IN A SOFT PART OF THE RUNWAY.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC09CA109](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC09CA109), Sep 26, 2009: Short Bros. & Harland SC7 Series (N754BD), Skwentna, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's failure to maintain directional control while landing on a rough, soft, and narrow airstrip.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
