## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 1, 2009 AT 1208 LOCAL TIME A C-172, N46AF OWNED AND OPERATED BY AMERICAN FLYERS FLIGHT SCHOOL HAD AN ALTITUDE DEVIATION WHILE IN A HOLDING PATTERN OVER MINERAL WELLS VOR ON AN IFR TRAINING FLIGHT WITH IFR WEATHER CONDITIONS PREVAILING. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED NO DAMAGE AND THE CREW AND PASSENGERS RECEIVED NO INJURIES. THE PILOT HOLDS A COMMERCIAL PILOT CERTIFICATE AND CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR CERTIFICATE. THE IFR FLIGHT ORIGINATED FROM FORT WORTH MEACHAM AIRPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
