## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

(-23) ON OCTOBER 3, 2009, AT APPROXIMATELY 10:45 AM, THE PILOT AND SOLE OCCUPANT OF N822P, A MODEL S-2B PITTS AIRCRAFT, EXECUTED A LANDING ON RUNWAY 17 AT KICKAPOO DOWNTOWN AIRPORT (KCWC) IN WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS. DURING ROLLOUT, THE AIRCRAFT DRIFTED TO THE RIGHT AND GROUND LOOPED. THE LEFT MAIN GEAR FOLDED UNDERNEATH THE AIRCRAFT, THE PROPELLER TIPS CONTACTED THE RUNWAY, AND THE RIGHT LOWER WING LEADING EDGE HIT A RUNWAY SIGN. THE PILOT STATED WINDS WERE 14 KNOTS FROM 130 DEGREES. THE PILOT WAS NOT INJURED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
