## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

0N 10/27/2009, ABOUT 2130 EDT, DELTA AIR LINES FLIGHT 21 FROM CDG TO ATL WAS ON A DOWN WIND RADAR VECTOR TO LAND ON RUNWAY 8L WHEN IT ENCOUNTERED TRANISENT MODERATE TURBULENCE. A FEMALE FLIGHT ATTENDANT WAS INJURED WHILE ASSISTING A NON-ENGLISH SPEAKING PASSENGER WHO WAS OUT OF HER SEAT. THE TURBULENCE CAUSED THE PASSENGER TO LOSE HER BALANCE AND BUMP INTO THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT KNOCKING HER DOWN. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT STRUCK HER HEAD AND TAIL BONE DURING THE FALL. THE FLIGHT ATTENDANT INJURED HER TAIL BONE AS A RESULT OF FALLING.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
