AIRMAN ZHANG, A STUDENT AT US FLIGHT ACADEMY, WAS ATTEMPTING TO LAND ON RUNWAY 35 AT DTO AIRPORT ON NOVEMBER 9, 2009, IN N5403H, A CESSNA 152. SHE STATED THAT THE TOWER CLEARED HER TO LAND, HOWEVER SHE WAS TOO CLOSE TO THE AIRCRAFT ON FINAL, SO SHE ELECTED TO GO AROUND. ON HER SECOND ATTEMPT, SHE STATED SHE WAS A LITTLE FAST ON FINAL, AND THE TOWER ASKED HER TO MAKE THE THE TAXIWAY A5 AFTER LANDING. SHE LANDED AND TRIED TO TAXI CLEAR OF THE RUNWAY A5, HOWEVER THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE TAXIWAY AND THE LEFT MAIN TIRE HIT THREE TAXI LIGHTS. From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
