## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/09/2009, AIRCRAFT N337MT, S/N BB-1628, A KING AIR 200 HAD ALREADY BEEN INDUCTED INTO MAINTENANCE AT GSP, IN GREER SC. THE PILOT AND TWO PASSENGERS WENT ON A LOCAL FLIGHT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INBOUND FOR A SECOND APPROACH WHEN BOTH ENGINES FLAMED OUT JUST SHORT OF RUNWAY FOUR. THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED AND CAME TO REST BEHIND THE AIRPORT PERIMETER ROAD. THE LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS FOUND IN THE UP POSITION. POWER, PROP AND FUEL LEVERS FOR BOTH ENGINES WERE FOUND IN THE FULL FORWARD POSITION. THERE WERE THREE SURVIVORS, ALL CRITICALLY INJURIED.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10LA056](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10LA056), Nov 9, 2009: Hawker Beechcraft B200 (N337MT), Greer, SC, substantial damage. Probable cause: A loss of engine power due to fuel exhaustion as a result of the pilot’s failure to visually verify that sufficient fuel was onboard prior to flight.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
