## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH AT THE AIRPORT OF DESTINATION, THE ENGINE STOPPED PRODUCING POWER. SHE IMMEDIATELY SWITCHED GAS TANKS BUT THE ENGINE DID NOT RESTART. SHE LANDED APPROXIMATELY 200 YARDS SHORT OF THE RUNWAY. THE PILOT STATED THAT THE AIRCRAFTS FUEL TANKS WERE FULL WHEN SHE DEPARTED HILLSBORO AIRPORT OR. FOR CHICO AIRPORT. SHE HAD BEEN FLYING FOR 3 HOURS AND 30 MINUTES AND SHOULD HAVE HAD APPROXIMATELY 2 HOURS OF FUEL REMAINING. THE AIRCRAFT WAS SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGED, VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED. THE PILOT AND PASSENGER SUSTAINED MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
