## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 11/14/09, THE PILOT ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (ONLY PERSON ON BOARD), DEPARTED LA VERNE, CA (POC) ENROUTE TO VAN NUYS, CA (VNY) AND MADE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON/NEAR RAILROAD TRACKS IN SAN GABRIEL, CA. ONCE ON THE GROUND, HE BOUNCED A FEW TIMES AND CONTINUED FOLLOWING THE RAILROAD TRACKS GOING EAST ABOUT 500 YARDS WHERE HE THEN CROSSED AN ACTIVE STREET MISSING VEHICLES AND IMPACTED A BLOCK WALL. THE AIRCRAFT BURST INTO FLAMES AND WAS DESTROYED BY SEVERE IMPACT AND FIRE, AND THE PILOT WAS KILLED. NO PERSONS ON THE GROUND WERE INJURED, BUT SOME DAMAGE HAD BEEN DONE TO STREET SIGNS, RAILING, AND A COMMERCIAL BUSINESS PARKING LOT.
