## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED ADDISON AIRPORT ENROUTE TO SHERMAN, TEXAS. AT APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES NORTH THE PILOT DECIDED TO RETURN TO ADDISON AIRPORT DUE TO WEATHER AND CONTACTED APPROACH CONTROL. PILOT CONTACTED ADDISON TOWER AND RECEIVED CLEARANCE TO LAND ON RUNWAY 150. THE PILOT IN COMMAND ALLOWED AIRCRAFT OWNER/PASSENGER ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ TO MANIPULATE THE FLAPS AND LANDING GEAR. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WRITTEN STATEMENT SAID HE LOWER THE FLAPS AND LANDING GEAR ON THE BASE LEG OF THE APPROACH. THE PILOT MADE A NORMAL APPROACH TO RUNWAY 150 AND LANDED THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE FLAPS EXTENDED AND THE LANDING GEAR UP. THE AIRCRAFT CONTACTED THE RUNWAY AND SKIDDED TO A STOP. DAMAGE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE AIRCRAFT WAS CONSISTENT WITH A GEAR UP LANDING. NEITHER THE PILOT NOR THE PASSENGER COULD RECALL WITH ANY CERTAINTY THAT THE LANDING GEAR WAS DOWN AND LOCKED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
