## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

11/17/09 OWNER STATED THAT WHILE LANDING THE AIRCRAFT IT FELT SQUIRRELY AND HE APPLIED BRAKING TO HARD AND THE PROP HIT THE RUNWAY.11/19/09MET WITH OWNER TO INSPECT THE AIRCRAFT. FOUND THE FOLLOWING DAMAGE: PROP SHATTERED, ENGINE REDUCTION GEARBOX HOUSING CRACKED, WINDSHIED BROKEN AT BOTH UPPER CORNERS AT WING ROOTS, FIREWALL WALL WRINKLED,MUFFLER DENTED FROM ENGINE MOUNT BOLTS HITTING, TAILWHEEL AXLE OR FORK BENT, COWLING AND SPINNER DAMAGED. BOTH WING LEADING EDGES AT THE TIPS HAD HIT THE RUNWAY AND WERE DAMAGED. WHILE TALKING WITH THE OWNER IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT HE DID NOT HAVE A BI-ANNUAL FLIGHT REVIEW BEFORE HE STARTED FLYING THIS AIRCRAFT. I ASKED ABOUT RECENT TAILWHEEL INSTRUCTION AND WAS TOLD THAT HE TAXIED THE AIRCRAFT TO THE COMPASS ROSE WITH ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ A FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR AND THAT WAS THE ONLY TIME WITH AN INSTRUCTOR.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
