## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT DEPARTED RUNWAY 8 AT FTG. UPON GEAR RETRACTION, HE EXPERIENCED DIFFICULTY MAINTAINING WINGS LEVEL FLIGHT. HE ELECTED TO MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING ON RUNWAY 35 AT FTG. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN IN THE THRESHOLD AREA OF RUNWAY 35, HE USED THE ENTIRE RUNWAY (8000 FEET) AND ROLLED OFF THE END, COMING TO A STOP ABOUT 200 FEET BEYOND THE DEPARTURE END. THE BRAKES WERE ON FIRE AND THE CREW AND PASSENGERS SUCCESSFULLY EGRESSED THE AIRCRAFT AT THAT TIME. THERE WERE NO INJURIES, AND THE CREW EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE WITH A HAND-HELD FIRE EXTINGUISHER.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
