DURING CRUISE FLIGHT, ENGINE STARTED TO SHAKE AND LOST POWER. PILOT LANDED AIRCRAFT ON SOFT FIELD CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO NOSE WHEEL AND LEFT WING TIP.
