## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

MR. KOFF WAS GIVING INSTRUCTION TO A STUDENT WORKING TOWARDS A TAIL WHEEL ENDORSEMENT. ON LANDING ROLL, AFTER TOUCHDOWN, STUDENT TRIED TO MAKE A MINOR CORRECTION WITH THE RUDDER, BUT ACCIDENTLY APPLIED PRESSURE TO THE LEFT TOE-BRAKE AS WELL. THIS CAUSED THE AIRPLANE TO YAW TO THE LEFT MUCH MORE QUICKLY THAN WAS ANTICIPATED, CAUSING THE LEFT WING TO BE LOW AND THE RIGHT WHEEL OFF THE GROUND, CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO GROUND LOOP. MR. KOFF CALLED FOR THE ADDITION OF POWER, BUT THE STUDENT DID NOT RESPOND. MR. KOFF STATED HE WAS UNABLE TO APPLY POWER DUE TO THE STUDENT COVERING THE THROTTLE. MR. KOFF ASSISTED THE STUDENT IN CONTROLLING THE AIRCRAFT, AND ALLOWED THE AIRCRAFT TO DEPART THE RUNWAY. BLOCK 31: ATQA WILL NOT ACCEPT PILOT CERTIFICATE NUMBER, 2159826

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
