## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT PREFLIGHTED AIRCRAFT, INCLUDING LANDING GEAR AND BRAKES, AND FOUND NO ISSUES WITH THE AIRCRAFT. PILOT STARTED THE AIRCRAFT, LISTENED TO ATIS AND RECEIVED CLEARANCE FROM GROUND TO TAXI TO AREA LIMA. WHILE TAXIING THE AIRCRAFT, THE PILOT APPLIED BRAKES AND THE LEFT BRAKE "GAVE WAY" AND THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE TAXIWAY TO THE RIGHT. PILOT REDUCED POWER TO THE ENGINES, HOWEVER AIRCRAFT DID NOT STOP UNTIL OFF OF THE TAXI WAY AND THE RIGHT PROP CONTACTED A TAXIWAY LIGHT, WHICH SHEERED OFF. REFERR TO PILOTS' STATEMENT. MECHANIC INSPECTED AND DISSASSEMBLED THE BRAKES AND FOUND SEVERAL RIVETS WITHIN THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY HAD COMPLETELY SHEERED AND THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY CAME APART. REFER TO MECHANICS STATEMENT. DEN FSDO HAS DIRECTED THE MECHANIC TO FILE AND M AND D REPORT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
