## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING CLIMB OUT WITH LANDING GEAR RETRACTING PILOT FELT/HEARD "THUMP". LANDING GEAR WAS EXTENDED WITH 3 GREEN INDICATIONS. FLY-BY CONTROL TOWER VISUALLY CONFIRMED LANDING GEAR DOWN. AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING WAS MADE. THE POST FLIGHT WALK AROUND REVEALED INITAL IMPACT OF A BIRD, WITH ASSOCIATED FEATHERS AND BLODD, AT THE RIGHT HAND PITOT PROBE. FURTHER INSPECTION SHOWED THE RIGHT HAND WING LEADING EDGE WITH APPROXIMATELY A 12 INCH AREA CAVED IN. THE RIGHT HAND ENGINE INLET LEADING EDGE WAS CRUSHED IN TWO AREAS. THE IMPACT CAUSED THE ENGINE COWLING LEADING EDGE TO SEPARATE WHERE THE REMAINS OF THE BIRD(S) WERE FOUND.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
