## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED THAT HE HAD PERFORMED MAINTENANCE ON THE MAIN GEAR, ADJUSTED TOW IN. HE THEN PROCEEDED TO TAXI IN HIS BACKYARD TO DETERMINE IF ANY ADVERSE CONDITION EXISTED WITH THE ADJUSTMENT HE HAD MADE. HE WAS TAXIING AT ABOUT 10 TO 15 MPH WHEN HE HIT A SOFT SPOT IN THE MUD AND THE NOSE WHEEL DUG IN AND THE AIRCRAFT FLIPPED OVER CAUSING THE PILOT TO BREAK HIS LEFT LEG, LEFT WRIST, AND LEFT ARM. AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTOR VISITED THE CRASH SITE 2 DAYS LATER AND THE RUNWAY WAS STILL VERY SOFT DUE TO FLOODING FROM A LOCAL CREEK. THE MAIN AIRCRAFT BEAMS SNAPPED OFF BY THE INSTRUMENT PANEL ATTACH POINT. ONE ENGINE PROP BLADE SUFFERED DAMAGE AND BOTH ROTOR BLADES SUFFERED MINOR BENDING AND WRINKLES. ROTOR BLADE STACKING DID NOT OCCUR. ROTOR BLADES WERE AT ABOUT 150 RPM AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
