## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 01/30/2010 AT APPROXIMATELY 1300 HOURS IN THE VICINITY OF IN CRYSTAL, NEVADA, AN AIRBORNE AIRCRAFT PILOTED BY EARL ROBERT GRIFFIN, STRUCK A VEHICLE WHICH WAS DRIVING OPON A RURAL ROADWAY, CAUSING INJURIES TO THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE AND SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND VEHICLE. THE CRASH APPEARS TO HAVE RESULTED AFTER AN INTENTIONAL ACT BY THE PILOT TO FLY WITHIN CLOSE PROXIMITY OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH WAS BEING DRIVEN BY A FRIEND OF THE PILOT. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE MISJUDGED THE CLOSURE RATE, RESULTING IN THE COLLISION WITH THE VEHICLE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)
