## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS AIRCRAFT INCIDENT OCCURRED DURING HOURS OF DARKNESS (1800 EST). THE PILOT STATED THAT AFTER BEING CLEARED FOR TAKE-OFF, A LARGE AIRCRAFT WAS HOLDING AT TAXIWAY N2. AS HE BEGAN MAKING HIS TURN ONTO THE RUNWAY AND SWUNG WIDE LEFT, HE CLAIMS TO HAVE HAD AN INNATE REACTION TO THE LARGE AIRCRAFT THAT WAS HOLDING AT N2. THE PILOT THEN STATES THAT, SIMULTANEOUSLY, HE NOTICED THE OVERHEAD LIGHT WAS ON FROM HAVING USED IT TO READ THE CHECKLIST. HE THEN REACHED UP WITH HIS RIGHT HAND TO TURN IT OFF. A MOVE, WHICH HE SAYS APPARENTLY CAUSED, HIS LEFT FOOT TO APPLY MORE PRESSURE ON THE LEFT RUDDER PEDAL. THIS ACTION CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO MOVE TO THE LEFT, OF THE RUNWAY CENTER. AFTER PASSING TAXIWAY N2 AND THE LARGE AIRCRAFT HE REALIZED HE WAS TO THE LEFT OF THE CENTER LINE AND BEGAN CORRECTING, BUT HEARD A PING INDICATING THE PROP HAD STRUCK SOMETHING. HE HAD NOT ADVANCED TO TAKEOFF POWER AT THIS POINT AND RETARDED THE THROTTLES TO DISCONTINUE THE TAKEOFF THEN TAXIED BACK, DISEMBARKED PAX AND FOUND THE LEFT PROP DAMAGED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
