## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER TO BOTH ENGINES AND CRASHED INTO A WOODED FIELD APPROXIMATELY 1.07 MILES FROM THE END OF RUNWAY 25 AT LAWRENCEVILLE AIRPORT (LZU). JUST PRIOR TO IMPACT, THE PILOT RADIOED LZU TOWER REPORTING LOSS OF POWER TO BOTH ENGINES AND DECLARED AN EMERGENCY. WITNESSES ON BOARD THE AIRCRAFT STATED THAT THE RIGHT ENGINE LOST POWER JUST AFTER TAKEOFF, FOLLOWED SHORTLY THEREAFTER BY LOSS OF POWER TO THE LEFT ENGINE. THE AIRCRAFT LANDED HARD AT THE EDGE OF A POND AND SMALL OPEN FIELD THEN SLID INTO A LINE OF TREES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTROYED BY POST IMPACT FIRE. THE PILOT DID NOT SURVIVE THE CRASH. THE THREE PASSENGERS DID SURVIVE WITH INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA10FA138](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA10FA138), Feb 8, 2010: Beech 65 (N130SP), Lawrenceville, GA, substantial damage, 1 fatal. Probable cause: The failure of both engines for undetermined reasons.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
