## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ROBERT E ELLIOTT THE PILOT OF N4XK AND THEODORE J. O'MALLEY THE PILOT OF N1979T MADE PLANS TO LAND AT THE DIXIE USFS AIRSTRIP. THE PLAN WAS THAT N1979T WOULD LAND AND TURN AROUND AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY AND N4XK WOULD LAND NEXT. N1979T WAS AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY WHEN N4XK LANDED. THE RUNWAY CONDITIONS WAS PACKED SNOW. MR. ELLIOTT LANDED AND FOUND THAT HE WAS NOT SLOWING DOWN AS HE HAD DONE ON PREVIOUS LANDINGS THAT DAY. HE MADE AN EFFORT TO USE THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY WERE THE SNOW WAS NOT AS COMPACT. WITHIN A HUNDRED FEET OF THE PREVIOUS LANDING AIRCAFT HE VEERED TO THE LEFT DIRECTLY AT N1979T. THE AIRCRAFT COLLIDED WITH THE PARKED AIRCRAFT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR10LA155](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR10LA155), Feb 26, 2010: Keller FK1 Stol (N4XK), Dixie, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The failure of the experimental FK1 pilot to maintain clearance from a parked airplane while landing.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
