## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE FSDO RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE JQF TOWER SUPERVISOR STATING THAT A MOONEY HAD PORPOISED ON LANDING AND THE AIRCRAFT ENDED UP ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY IN THE MUD. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT, AIRMAN OR RUNWAY ENVIROMENT. PERMISSION WAS GIVEN TO MOVE THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRMAN WAS TOLD THAT THE FAA WAS ON THE WAY TO DISCUSS WHAT HAPPENED. WHILE INTERVIEWING THE AIRMAN IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT DUE TO THE HARSH WINTER IN INDIANAPOLIS, HE HAD NOT FLOWN IN THE LAST FIVE MONTHS. HE STATED THAT "HE LANDED TOO FAST, THE WINDS DRIFTED HIM TOO FAR TO THE RIGHT AND ENDED UP WITH THE RIGHT GEAR IN THE MUD OFF THE SIDE OF RUNWAY 2. THE AIRCRAFT WAS INSPECTED BY THE REPAIR STATION AT SPITIFRE AND IT WAS DETERMINED THAT NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE PROPELLER OR LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT HAD A LOT OF MUD ON IT AND WAS TO BE WASHED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
