## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ENGINE LOST POWER DUE TO SUSPECTED CARBURETOR ICE. NO VISUAL ICE WAS SEEN AT ACCCIDENT SITE. MADE PRECAUTIONARY LANDING IN A BEAN STUBBLE FIELD 1.5 NM FROM KGSH AND LANDING GEAR DUG INTO SOFT SOIL CAUSING IT TO PARTIALLY SEPERATE FROM AIRCRAFT AND CAUSED AIRCRAFT TO FLIP OVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN10CA146](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN10CA146), Mar 8, 2010: Byler JDT MINI-MAX 1100R (N184PT), New Paris, IN, substantial damage. Probable cause: A total loss of engine power in flight due to carburetor icing. Contributing to the accident was the soft field where the airplane nosed over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
