## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT AND SINGLE OCCUPANT OF N77KA, ON A VFR FLIGHT FROM WEA TO ABI, ATTEMPTED TWO TIMES TO LAND ON RUNWAY 35R AT ABILENE REGIONAL AIRPORT DUE TO GUSTY CONDITIONS.ON THE SECOND LANDING ATTEMPT, THE AIRCRAFT SETTLED DOWN TO THE RUNWAY WITH THE LANDING GEAR RETRACTED AND BOTH PROPELLERS CONTACTED THE RUNWAY.THE PILOT ADDED POWER AND EXECUTED A GO AROUND. THE PILOT ASKED THE TOWER FOR PERMISSION TO LAND ON TAXIWAY MIKE. THE TOWER INFORMED HIM TO EXERCISE HIS OWN DISCRETION. THE PILOT LANDED ON TAXIWAY WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. THERE WAS DAMAGE TO THE TIPS OF BOTH PROPELLERS, AND TO THE FUSELAGE STEP,. THERE WAS NO INJURY. THE PILOT STATED HE FORGOT TO LOWER THE LANDING GEAR .

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
