## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS LANDING AT THE AIRPORT IN SCAPPOOSE OR. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED HE HAD THE TAIL UP DURING LANDING AND THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO VEER LEFT. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ APPLIED POWER TO GO AROUND AS HE WAS VEERING OFF THE RUNWAY. AS HE ROTATED HE THOUGHT HE HIT SOMETHING. AS HE WAS CLIMBING OUT HE DETERMINED HIS LEFT LANDING GEAR HAD BEEN DAMAGED. HE CALLED PDX TOWER AND ASK TO MAKE SEVERAL FLY-BYS TO GET A REPORT ON THE DAMAGE. HE WAS TOLD THE LANDING GEAR WAS ON THE AIRPLANE BUT NOT IN NORMAL POSITION. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MADE A LANDING AT PEARSON AIRPARK ON THE GRASS. THE AIRCRAFT APPEARED TO SUSTAIN NO ADDITIONAL DAMAGE EXCEPT THE PROPELLER TIPS BEING BENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
