## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 18 THE CHICAGO O'HARE FLIGHT STANDARDS DISTRICT OFFICE WAS INFORMED THAT THE PREVIOUS NIGHT, MARCH 17, AT ABOUT 2135 AN INCIDENT WITH A SKYWEST AIRCRAFT AND BAGGAGE TUG OCCURRED. AN INVESTIGATION INTO THIS INCIDENT WAS CONDUCTED AND THE FOLLOWING FACTS WERE NOTED AS THE RESULT OF THAT INVESTIGATION. ON MARCH 17, 2010 AT APPROXIMATELY 2135, AIRCRAFT N751SK, A CL-600-2C10, OUTBOUND ON FLIGHT 6567 FROM ORD TO COS, STRUCK A BAGGAGE CART TUG WHILE BEING PUSHED BACK OUT OF GATE F12A. THERE WERE 43 PASSENGERS ON BOARD WITH 2 FLIGHT DECK CREW MEMBERS AND 2 CABIN CREW MEMBERS. THERE WERE NO REPORTED INJURIES AND THE PASSENGERS WERE PLACED ON ANOTHER FLIGHT.THE LEFT HAND OUTBOARD LOWER WING SURFACE AND TRAILING EDGE WEDGE STRUCK AND PASSED OVER THE BAGGAGE CART TUG. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR AND WAS AS FOLLOWS:THE LEFT OUTBOARD WING TRAILING EDGE NEAR THE WING TIP SUSTAINED AN AREA OF DAMAGE THAT WAS ABOUT 1 INCH WIDE, AT THE TRAILING EDGE. THIS WING SECTION OR "WEDGE" WAS REMOVED AND REPLACED.THE LEFT WING LOWER OUTBOARD SURFACE OF THE WING JUST FORWARD OF THE WEDGE HAD AN AREA OF ABOUT 8 INCHES LONG THAT WAS SCUFFED AND SLIGHTLY DENTED. THAT AREA WAS SUBSEQUENTLY CLEANED, RE PAINTED AND EVALUATED. THE DENTED AREA SUBSEQUENTLY WAS DEFERRED FOR LATER REPAIR AT THE AIRCRAFTS UP COMING C- CHECK AND THE AIRCRAFT WAS THEN RELEASED FOR FLIGHT AND DEPARTED ORD. NO FURTHER ACTION IS REQUIRED BY THIS OFFICE AND THE SKY WEST CERTIFICATE MANAGEMENT OFFICE WILL CONTINUE WITH THE INVESTIGATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
