## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 03/20/2010, AT AROUND 12:30 LOCAL, AIRCRAFT N76LY, A LAKE MODEL LA-4, WAS STRUCK BY A DEPUTY SHERRIFF'S BOAT, AS THE PILOT OF N76LY WAITED FOR INSTRUCTIONS. IT WAS REPORTED THAT N76LY HAD ENTERED A PERIMETER THAT WAS PORTIONED OFF FOR A REGATTA. THE PILOT STATED THAT HE AND HIS WIFE LANDED IN LAKE DORA AND WERE TAXIING TO THE BOAT RAMP FOR LUNCH WHEN THEY WERE SPOTTED BY THE DEPUTY SHERRIFF. AS THE BOAT APPROACHED THE AIRCRAFT, IT DRIFTED AND MADE CONTACT WITH THE AIRCRAFT LEFT PILON. THE PILOT WAS ORDERED TO LEAVE THE AREA. THE PILOT TOOK OFF AND RETURNED BACK TO HIS HOME BASE UNAWARE OF THE MINOR DAMAGE TO THE PILON.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
