## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT DEPARTED RWY 03 AT LANTANA AIRPORT (KLNA) AND DURING THE INITIAL CLIMB HE HEARD AN WEAR NOISE. THEY FOUND THAT THE PILOT INAVERTENTLY STRUCK THE AIRCRAFT WITH THE GRAPPELING HOOK ON DEPARTURE WHEN HE WENT TO CATCH THE BANNER. AIRCRAFT RECEIVED DAMAGE ON TOP OF LEFT WING FLAP FABRIC AND ALSO ON THE FAIRING BETWEEN THE WING AND FUSELAGE. PILOT DROP BANNER AND RETURNED FOR LANDING ON RWY 15.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
